How termites get into a Batangas house
The termites that do the damage here are subterranean: they live in the ground and come up into a house through the foundation, through hairline cracks in the slab, around plumbing, and up the outside of the footing inside a mud tube they build for cover. By the time a tube is visible on a wall the colony has usually been in the house for months.
Older houses with timber frames and cabinets are the easiest targets, but a concrete house is not safe: the door frames, the roof framing and every built-in cabinet are wood, and the termites only need one way up.
What the treatment involves
It starts with the ocular. We find the active tubes, the entry points and, where we can, the mound. Then the treatment is matched to the house: the ground around the foundation is treated so the colony's route is cut, the slab is drilled and injected where they are coming up through the floor, active tubes get termiticide powder that the workers carry back to the colony, and exposed timber is drenched or sprayed so it cannot be re-entered. A mound in the garden is broken open and treated directly.
The solutions are odourless and FDA-approved. You do not have to move out, and the pets and the plants stay where they are.
After the treatment
We come back. A follow-up visit checks that the tubes are dead and nothing new has appeared. A treated house next to an untreated lot can be re-entered years later, which is why we recommend a periodic check, and why, if you are building, the far cheaper answer is treatment before the slab is poured.

Questions about termite control
Should I knock the mud tubes off before you come?
No. Leave them. The tubes tell us where the colony is travelling, and breaking them just makes the termites reroute somewhere we cannot see. We will remove them once the treatment is in.
How long does termite treatment take?
Most houses are a single visit of a few hours, plus the follow-up. A large property or a heavy infestation can take a day. We tell you at the ocular.
Can I spray them myself?
You can kill the ones you can see, and that is the problem: the colony scatters and rebuilds out of sight. Termite work is about reaching the colony, not the workers on the wall.
