Questions people ask before they book

Yes. The solutions we use are odourless and FDA-approved, and once dry they leave no harmful residue. We tell you exactly how long to keep pets and children off the treated area, usually a matter of hours, and the plants stay where they are.

Ocular means we come and look. A technician visits the property, finds where the pests are living and how they are getting in, and tells you what it will take to deal with them. The visit is free and the quote is given on the spot. If you decide not to go ahead, nothing is owed.

It depends on the pest, the size of the property and how far the problem has spread, which is exactly why the first visit is free. We do not quote termite work over the phone, because a mound in the garden and a colony in the roof are different jobs.

Termites (anay) are pale, soft and thick-waisted, and they hide: you see the mud tubes, the hollow wood or the discarded wings before you see them. Ants are darker, hard-bodied and pinched at the waist, and they walk in the open. Send us a photo and we will tell you which.

Treating the ground and the slab before a house is built, so termites cannot come up through the foundation later. It is done as soil treatment, or with a pipe reticulation system laid under the slab so the ground can be re-treated for years without breaking anything. It is far cheaper than treating a finished house.

A properly done soil or slab treatment protects for years, and a reticulation system can be topped up on schedule for as long as the house stands. What we do not promise is forever: a treated house next to an untreated lot can be re-entered, which is why we follow up and why a regular check is worth having.

For most treatments, no. The solutions are odourless and low-toxicity. For fogging or a heavy infestation we may ask you to step out for a few hours and keep pets and children away until the treated areas are dry. We say so before we start.

Yes: offices, restaurants, cafés, hotels, resorts, groceries and warehouses. Commercial work is scheduled around your hours, and for food businesses and warehouses we can set up a regular rodent and cockroach programme rather than waiting for the next sighting.

We come back. A follow-up visit checks that the treatment has taken, and if the pests are still active we treat again. You are not left to find out on your own.
